Suprema BioStation L2 Fingerprint Terminal

Suprema BioStation L2 IP Fingerprint Terminal

Suprema BioStation L2 IP Fingerprint Terminal

BioStation L2, produced by Suprema, is an advanced terminal that utilizes fingerprint recognition for access control and time attendance management. This device is ideal for settings that require biometric verification, such as offices, secure entry points, and system logins. The device supports accurate clock-in/clock-out records using fingerprint or card verification.

Live Finger Detection (LFD) uses advanced liveness detection technology to prevent fake fingerprint attempts by combining infrared and white light imaging. The Suprema BioStation L2 runs on a powerful 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and includes 2 GB of Flash memory and 256 MB of RAM, making it capable of managing extensive user databases and logs. The system can store up to 500,000 users in one-to-one fingerprint matching and handle a large number of log entries. Supports fingerprint, card, and RFID credentials with 125 kHz EM and 13.56 MHz MIFARE/DESFire/FeliCa/NFC compatibility. 2-inch color LCD with a full graphical interface, a capacitive touch keypad, and dedicated time and attendance function keys. The BioStation L2 provides multiple connectivity options, including Ethernet (10/100), RS-485 (host or slave), Wiegand I/O, TTL inputs, and a relay output for controlling door locks. Built to handle diverse conditions, the device works reliably in temperatures from -20°C to 50°C.

The BioStation L2 functions as a door access controller by regulating entry based on fingerprint or card authentication, ensuring that only authorized individuals can access specific areas. It can also serve as a time-attendance terminal, allowing employees to clock in and out with precise identity verification using fingerprint recognition. Additionally, it can easily work with a larger security and access control system, linking up with server/client software and multiple devices to manage many users in large setups. Choose a model that is compatible with your desired credentials (RFID, card, etc.) and can handle your required user and log capacity. Installation of the device according to hardware, network, and lock connection guidelines, to avoid placing sensors in direct sunlight.
